Problem
Data Decisions Group had a client looking to take ownership of their vast consumer data which was currently controlled and hosted by legacy third-party. The client had a consumer universe of about 500M records which required both daily and weekly data hygiene and consolidation processes to effectively power their marketing automation stack. Unfortunately, once these process were complete on either cadence it was time to do it all over again, not to mention the data had to be shipped off to various vendors to meet all the data preparation requirements.
Solution
Data Ramp deployed a cloud-native data preparation solution directly into the client’s Azure Virtual Private Cloud allowing the data to reside solely within their internal Lakehouse consisting of Azure Cloud Storage, Databricks, and Snowflake. The solution enabled the internal data management ecosystem with clean and standardized consumer data, the latest address information through NCOA, and unique identifiers at multiple hierarchical levels to power the consumer identity graph and various marketing campaigns.
Outcome
Time to insights were reduced by nearly 85%, allowing the client to process their full universe of nearly 1/2 a billion records in a 6 hour time-frame and their daily volumes in minutes instead of hours. The marketing team was able to evolve personalization use cases across channels with the newfound speed by being able to more quickly identify a consumer that had already interacted with their brand recently and continue the conversation.
